3 C's

The 3 C's mnemonic is short and useful for the common causes of chondrocalcinosis. The alternative, longer and much less pet-friendly is WHIP A DOG, or if you are into porcine cleanliness HOGWASH.
- C - Crystals CPPD, sodium urate (gout)
- C - Cations calcium (any cause of hypercalcemia), copper, iron
- C - Cartilage degeneration osteoarthritis, acromegaly, ochronosis
