ABER position

ABER stands for ABduction and External Rotation, and pertains to imaging of the shoulder joint. It is used to make labral tears more conspicuous by tightening the inferior glenohumeral labroligamentous complex (which are also the most important glenohumeral ligaments in preventing shoulder instability).
