Aggressive angiomyxoma

A rare tumour which arises in the pelvis, typically from the levatore ani musculature, and has a predelicion for local recurrence. Only rarely does it metastasise.

It is of soft tissue density, contains no fat, and typically has a swirling appearance on T2 MR images.

It is seen predominatly in women (90%)
