BI-RADS 6 is an assessment categoryone of seven categories of the ACR (American College of Radiology) BI-RADS system.

Patients with and is defined as known biopsy-proven cancermalignancy. This category is used when:

  • imaging is performed post percutaneous biopsy that demonstrated a malignancy but prior to definitive therapy would be category 6.1
  • imaging demonstrates no other abnormalities that might need further investigation other than the known biopsy-proven malignancy1
