Capitalization

Updates to Article Attributes

Body was changed:

Capitalisation is a potential area where style differences can make a significant difference to the content at Radiopaedia.org, and as usual, a consistent style is crucial for uniformity of the site.

Titles and subheadings

Article titles and case titles, as well as subheadings, should be in sentence case.

Correct:

  • Myeloma with extraskeletal involvement
  • Hepatocellular carcinoma
  • Skull

Incorrect:

  • myeloma with extraskeletal involvement
  • MYELOMA WITH EXTRASKELETAL INVOLVEMENT
  • Myeloma With Extra Skeletal Involvement

Rare exceptions to the universal use of capitalisation for the initial letter of a title exist, e.g. the 'k' in k-space is always written in lower case

Bulleted and numbered lists

Bulleted and numbered lists should not be capitalised unless the term deserves a capital on its own account (e.g. name of someone). Read more about bulleted and numbered lists.

Abbreviations

The use of capitals in abbreviations depends on the specific abbreviation. Read more about accepted abbreviations
