Dandy Walker continuum, also referred as Dandy Walker spectrum or Dandy Walker complex, corresponds to a group of disorders believed to represent a continuum spectrum of posterior fossa malformations, characterised by a combined posterior fossa cyst communicating with the fourth ventricle as well as abnormal development of the cerebellar vermis. 

These conditions remain poorly understood, and this terminology is still a controversy. Some authors recommend to avoid it as there is a lack of specificity that may create some confusion. Instead, a more detailed anatomic description is recommended 2
