Dead pixel artifact is an artifact seen in DR systemdigital radiography systems where an detector element fails to recievereceive a proper signal and therefore appears as a bright white dot in an X rayx-ray image.
A defective pixel on display monitor can also lead to white dot like apperanceappearance but it won't be seen on a physical radiograph as itand will remain in the same position on the screen if the radiograph is due to faulty pixel of viewing monitor and not due to receptormoved.
