The ligament of the ovary, or ovarian ligament, is one of the supporting ligaments of the ovary and uterus within the female pelvis.

Embryology:

Together with the round ligament of the ovary, it is one of the remnants of the gubernaculum in females.

Gross Anatomy:

A fibromuscular band passing between the layers of the broad ligament.

It attaches from the uterine pole of the ovary and inserts onto the lateral aspect of the uterus near the cornu, just inferior to the origin of the uterine tube.
