Shortened fetal humerus is a morphological descriptor and is usually defined when the humeral length falls below the 5th percentile or less than 0.9 predicted by the bipareital diameter (BPD). It can occur in isolation or in association with a number of other anomalies.
The humeral length is not a typical fetal biometric parameter.
