Our Emergency Radiology Course $25 video access offer is proving very popular. Quite a few people have contacted us with questions, so here are answers to some of the more frequently asked ones.
How much is $25?
The video course fee is AUD $25 which is approximately USD $20, but you can find exact conversions into all currencies here.
What payment methods are available?
We use trybooking.com for our secure payment system. VISA, MasterCard and AMEX credit or debit cards are accepted. There is currently no option for direct debit or PayPal. Please be aware that if you are using a non-Australian credit card then your bank will charge you a small international transaction fee.
Do I qualify for free access?
If you live or work in any one of the 116 countries listed as Hinari group A or B then we are offering you video access for free. Just send an email to [email protected] and include some proof of your living or working location.
When will the video be recorded?
The video will be recorded live in Melbourne on May 16, but it won't be streamed live around the world at that time. It will be split into seven videos corresponding to each section of the course, the audio will be optimized and then it will be uploaded to our site. The video will be approximately 6 hours in total length.
When will I be able to watch the video?
The video will be available for online playback from 1 June 2015.
How many times can I watch the video?
From 1 June 2015 you will be able to watch the video as many times as you like for at least 3 months.
Where will I be able to watch the video?
The video will be embedded within a restricted page on Radiopaedia.org to which you'll be given access.
Will there be a DVD or CD?
No. The video will only be available for streaming online.
Will the video have captions and subtitles?
Yes, we recently announced English captions thanks to support provided by Capital Radiology.
When can I access the cases from the course?
Course attendees will be emailed links to online playlists containing all the cases that will be used in the course. This email will be sent out early in May so you can look at all the cases in advance if you wish. You will continue to have access to these case playlists after the course. When can I take the pre-course test?
A short pre-course test will be sent out to course attendees via email in early May. These cases will all appear in the course video so you will be able to self assess how you went.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. You will receive a digital certificate via email when you are given access to the video on June 1. We won't be mailing a printed certificate to you, but you can print the digital certificate you receive if you wish.
Can I get professional credits or points for the course?
It is simply not possible for us to have this course pre-accredited for education points (eg. CPD, CME, CEU) with every professional organization to which an attendee may belong. This is a globally accessible course which is attracting a broad range of health professionals. We suggest you check with your professional organization to see whether it can be accredited without having to pay a fee. If you think you can get the course accredited with an organization to which you belong for free but need a little documentation from us, then send an email with all the details to [email protected] and we will try to help.
