Acute septic arthritis of left hip joint is noted in the form of acute osteomyelitis of left femoral neck extending up to inter-trochanteric region and head with intramedullary abscess measuring 1.6 x 1.2 x 1.7cm, moderate purulent joint effusion and diffuse synovial thickening.
Case Discussion
Ultrasound guided aspiration of joint revealed thick pus. Around 15ml of pus was aspirated and sent for microscopy and culture. Patient recovered after completion of course of antibiotic therapy.
