Presentation

Abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male

Jejunal perforation with enhancing collection eroding into the posterior left rectus abdominis with a thin, linear, dense foreign body.

Case Discussion

Contained jejunal perforation which is extending slightly into the posterior rectus abdominis muscle and contains a thin foreign body, indicating perforation from either a grill bristle brush or fish bone. It is important to be aware of the appearance of these as surgical removal is indicated.
