Mildly displaced avulsed bone fragment of the ulnar aspect of the base of proximal phalanx of the thumb.
Case Discussion
Radiographic features are in keeping with avulsed ulnar collateral ligament of the first metacarpophalangeal joint (gamekeeper's thumb).
The patient was treated conservatively for two weeks in another hospital, with immobility. Currently presented with tenderness and painful limited movement of the thumb.
It is important to make an ultrasound or MRI to assess the presence of associated Stener lesion.
