"Double bubble" sign of duodenal atresia. There is no gas seen distally within the small or large bowel.
Case Discussion
This patient had an antenatal diagnosis of duodenal atresia. This can be associated with other conditions that can have features on x-ray:
- Down syndrome: 13 pairs of ribs
- VACTERL: vertebral column segmental anomalies (e.g. spina bifida)
