Case Discussion
Uterine arteriovenous fistulas are uncommon vascular malformations of the uterus.
It may be the result of trauma or surgical intervention or may be acquired in the setting of a preexisting pathologic uterine process.
Transarterial embolization of the uterine artery is an efficacious and effective method of treating AVM, particularly in patients of reproductive age because it is minimally invasive and has the potential to preserve fertility.
