Presentation

Right flank pain, fever.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

CT images showing multiple linear foci of non-enhancing scattered through right kidney parenchyma, involving also the cortex and better demonstrated on renal excretory images. Remainder exams is unremarkable. 

Case Discussion

The imaging findings are in keeping with acute pyelonephritis, remainder clinical data supported this diagnosis. 

Antibiotic therapy was prescribed to be taken at home and the patient experienced clinical improvement.
