Incidental finding in a 3230 year old man, who complained of upper abdominal pain and in whom pancreatic enzymes were repeatedly elevated.
Body was removed:
Typical finding of fundal adenomyomatosis of the gallbladder, with intramural enlargement of the Rokitansky-Aschhoff sinus, similar to diverticula. This has been termed the pearl necklace sign.
