Complete avulsion of the anterior cruciate ligament insertion at the tibial eminence with elevation and superior displacement of the comminuted bone fragments. The avulsed segment is intact. These findings are in keeping with type 3a avulsion. Mild amount of lipohemarthrosis of the suprapatellar recess.
