There is anterior odontoid screw fixation for base of odontoid process fracture with normal alignment.
Case Discussion
Patient had a transverse fracture of the base of the dens and underwent anterior odontoid screw fixation. Patient had type III odontoid fracture according to both the Anderson and D’Alanzo classification and Roy Camille classification, which is an unstable fracture and needs surgical treatment.
