Presentation

Two previous cesarian sections, one dilatation and curettage, she presents with with secondary infertility, oligomenorrhea, and galactorrhea.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female
ultrasound

Endometrium reveals an interrupted line in sagittal plane (endometrial "kinking"), there is indistinct lower segment endo-myometrial junction, endometrial free fluid and punctuate echogenic foci.

Case Discussion

In Asherman's syndrome/uterine synechiae, adhesions develop as a result of endometrial injury due to dilatation and curettage, other uterine surgical procedures or infection for example TB endometritis. Symptoms include repeated miscarriages, amenorrhea and infertility.
