Failure to thrive in a cold climate and pseudojaundice.

Note the three cutaneous clefts on the axial images (black) which allow for easy peeling.

The lack of internal bruising indicates that the banana was likely purchased from a reputable green grocer.

Case Discussion

It is important to familiarise oneself with the MRI appearances of a banana, wherever it may be located, due to its potential for abuse as a foreign body.
