Presentation
Recurrent abdominal pain.
Patient Data
Cystic dilatation of common bile duct, measuring approximately 25 mm in maximum diameter. Calculi, measuring approximately 4 mm and 2 mm, are seen in distal CBD.
Bilateral intrahepatic biliary radicals are mildly dilated.
The cystic duct is significantly dilated, measuring approximately 9.5 mm in diameter.
The gallbladder is distended, and there is no obvious wall thickening, lesions, or calculi.
Normal morphology and signal intensity of the pancreas is seen. No peripancreatic collection or pseudocyst is seen.
MPD is not well visualized in the head region and is likely compressed by the dilated cystic duct.
Case Discussion
The above findings suggest the likelihood of choledochal cyst type I with choledocholithiasis.
