Dilatation of the common hepatic duct and nearly the entire common bile duct with smooth distal tapering and no obvious filling defects is observed. Dilatation of the proximal most right and left main hepatic duct is also seen with no obvious distal intrahepatic bile duct (IHBR) dilatation.
The common hepatic duct measures approximately 6.5 mm in diameter, and the common bile duct measures approximately 6.3 mm in diameter.
Case Discussion
Findings are consistent with choledochal cyst type Ia.
