Case Discussion

Perforation of the stomach along the lesser curvature in a patient with obstruction of the duodenum secondary to a mass at the head on the pancreas.

The site of perforation is not always close to the site of obstruction.

Long periods of dilatation render the wall of the proximal structures friable and more prone to perforation.
