Normal female pelvis - anteverted uterus (MRI)

Presentation

Left adnexal PET avidity. Previous sigmoid adenocarcinoma and resection. Stoma.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Rectal stump noted, with adjacent posterior pelvic free fluid. Left anterior pelvic wall hernia containing bowel is partially included.

Both ovaries contain multiple follicles, with a dominant cyst/follicle in the left ovary measuring 38 mm containing some T1 hyperintense proteinaceous/blood products and small volume low T2 signal dependent debris. No enlarged lymph nodes. Anteverted uterus and bladder appear unremarkable. Large L5/S1 disc posterior central protrusion severely narrowing the central spinal canal.
