Is the biliary tree normal?
Normal anatomy, but the CBD and intrahepatic ducts are dilated as on ultrasound.
The patient has ongoing symptoms, is there another procedure which might help?
ERCP offers the chance to image and manipulate the biliary tree if there is evidence of an obstruction.
Numerous gallbladder calculi. No features of acute cholecystitis.
Marked biliary dilatation, with a tortuous common biliary duct maximally measuring 12 mm. No ductal calculi, although some low signal in the distal duct consistent with sludge. Normal calibre pancreatic duct.
