Within the mid-distal oesophagus there are some primary waves of peristalsis seen, however no secondary waves were visualised. Tertiary waves were identified. Overall there was marked dysmotility of peristaltic movements, with mildly delayed passage of contrast.
Within the distal third of the oesophagus there is an hour-glass shaped posteriorly projected epiphrenic diverticulum. The diverticulum appears stable.
