Hypothalamic cavernous venous malformation

Discussion:

The patient had an unexplained episode of anemia 10 years ago, brain MRI revealed a hypothalamic mass with hemosiderin deposition, stable in time.

Despite the mass' location in the suprasellar region, the patient is asymptomatic.

This is a rare location for a cavernous venous malformation; the differential diagnosis of craniopharyngioma was excluded due to stability in size mass.

Further follow-up only, since the mass is asymptomatic.
