Ossification of the Achilles tendon.
Case Discussion
This case is consistent with ossification of the Achilles tendon in a patient who had ruptured his Achilles tendon 20 years ago.
Ossification of the Achilles tendon is seen both with previous macrotrauma of the tendon (e.g. Achilles tendon rupture, previous surgery) as well as repetitive microtrauma.
