Adenocarcinoma of the lung with miliary lung metastasis

Presentation

Shortness of breath 1 month and chronic cough

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male

There is a well defined spiculated mass lesion seen in the medial segment of the right lower lung lobe measures about 2.8 x 2.9 cm,  and there is a well defined cavitary lesion seen in the posterior segment of the right lower lobe measures about 2.4 x 1.2 cm.  

Bilateral miliary distributed innumerable tiny centrilobular  lung nodules are noted  .

Minimal pericardial effusion is noted.

The left thyroid lobe shows two well-defined hypoattenuating nodules, the larger measures about 1.2 cm.
