Diagnosis probable

Presentation

Chronic lower back pain and left-side lower limb pain

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

Loss of physiologic lordosis of the lumbar spine.

Small Schmorl's nodes at inferior endplate of D12, L3 levels.

Evidence of anterior fusion of L3-L4 and L4-L5 vertebral bodies.

No evidence of disc bulge/herniation at any level.

Evidence of fusion of sacroiliac joints.

Fusion of the sacroiliac joint is noted.

The overall features raise the possibility of ankylosing spondylitis.
