Anterior abdominal wall abscess

Large, well-defined lesion in the anterior abdominal wall (between fascia transversalis and peritoneum parietal) with gas-fluid level. Other findings: left-sided renal cyst, hemangioma in segment 3 of the left hepatic lobe.
Case Discussion
Incision and drainage of the abscess: a large pus cavity with foul-smelling greenish-colored pus. The wound culture result was E. coli. This is a case of primary anterior abdominal abscess; there is no associated diabetes, immunocompromised status, etc.
