Known history of pulmonary tuberculosis presented with primary infertility.
Patient Data
Plain film shows calcifications in the region of the endometrial cavity.
Hysterosalpingography study shows non-filling of the endometrial cavity on contrast administration from the cervix.
Fallopian tubes are also not visualized in contrast study due to near complete obliteration of the endometrial cavity by adhesions and calcifications.
Case Discussion
Asherman syndrome is fibrosis and adhesion formation within endometrial cavity, in our case, patient presented with primary infertility, and had no history of any surgical procedure done.
Prior history of pulmonary tuberculosis raised a suspicion of genitourinary tuberculosis and resultant calcifications in endometrial cavity.
