Presentation

History of left foot pain and swelling since 3 days after a twisted ankle while walking then fall on his left side, on examination: mild swelling hotness and tenderness over the base of the dorsolateral side of the left foot.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
  • avulsion fracture of the left 5th metatarsal styloid
  • calcaneal spurs

This fracture is a type III as Stewart classification for proximal 5th metatarsal fractures.
