Patient Data

Age: 50 years.
Gender: Female

Hyperdensity in the left basal ganglia (lentiform nucleus) and deep temporal white matter area is seen measuring about 46 x 26 x 45 mm in its maximal dimensions, typical of acute hemorrhage. It shows mild mass effect in the form of compression of the adjacent parts of the left lateral ventricle. Mild surrounding perifocal edema is seen. No intraventricular extension. No hydrocephalic changes.

Involutional brain changes. Associated white matter ischemic changes with small lacunar infarcts.
