Right lobe of thyroid is enlarged and shows multiple discrete and conglomerate cystic lesions, with no invasive features.
Case Discussion
The fine needle aspirate of the right thyroid lobe nodule showed hemosiderin-laden macrophages and occasional clusters of benign-appearing follicular cells. The features were consistent with a benign thyroid cyst.
Conservative management is warranted unless clinical or radiologic findings indicate otherwise (eg. unabated growth, compression).
