Presentation

Tried to catch a cricket ball 15 days ago. Complaining of posterior thigh pain.

Patient Data

Age: 27 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

No bony abnormality. Soft tissue thickening involves the posterior-lateral thigh region.

ultrasound

At the site of pain pointed by the patient, there is a fluid collection replacing the biceps femoris muscle fibers - a hematoma. There is an extra-muscular fluid crescent favoring tear of muscle sheath locally.
