Two widely placed endometrial cavities with surrounding myometrium converging at the lower uterine segment. The two endometrial cavities are widely spaced with an angle of approximately 115-130 degrees. There is fundal cleft with distance between both cornua measuring approximately 3.8 cm.

Common cervical cavity is noted without evidence of a cervical septum.

Bilateral ovaries are normal.

Case Discussion

A bicornuate uterus is a class IV Mullerian duct anomaly. MRI helps to confirm the anatomy by showing a deep (>1 cm) fundal cleft in the outer uterine contour and an intercornual distance of >4 cm. The uterus demonstrates normal uterine zonal anatomy
