Presentation

Car accident.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

Comminuted fractures of the bilateral humeral heads extended from the greater tuberosities are associated with posterior dislocations of the bilateral glenohumeral joints.

Comminuted depressed, intra-articular fractures of the bilateral humeral heads.

Posterior subluxations of the fractured humeral heads.

The humeral heads are impacted on the posterior rim of the glenoid bones.

 The glenoid bones are intact.

Case Discussion

This patient was injured in the course of a car accident followed by Immediate pain and disablement of bilateral shoulder joints.

X-ray and CT scan images showed posterior fracture-dislocations of both shoulders.

He proceeded to corrective orthopedic surgery after the CT scan.
