Presentation
Post cesarean section with new onset abdominal pain and drop in hemoglobin/ hematocrit.
Patient Data
There is evidence for a ventral lower abdominal/pelvic incision, a Pfannenstiel type. There are expected post cesarean-section surgical changes/findings including small amount of subcutaneous emphysema, cutaneous stranding/staples, pneumoperitoneum, and small amount of hemorrhage/air within the uterus. There is an expected large post-partum uterus. Moderate amount of ascites is present. There is a moderate to large size hyperdense mass between the bladder and lower uterus keeping with bladder flap hematoma. Foley catheter is noted.
Arrows point to bladder flap hematoma.
