Presentation

The chief complaint is right-hand pain and swelling for 1 week. History of the patient claimed that he got trauma from a stone object. Clinically: pain and swelling over the right hand at the fifth metacarpal head.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

A fracture through the neck of the right fifth metacarpal is noted, with mild palmar angulation.

Case Discussion

This case illustrates the typical appearance of a boxer fracture, but the patient claimed that he got trauma from a blunt object (stone) and there was no history of assault.
