Brain metastasis - prostate adenocarcinoma

There is a large, predominantly homogenously enhancing mass in the right middle cranial fossa. There is significant associated vasogenic edema with approximately 4 mm of midline shift to the left.
Case Discussion
The patient underwent a craniotomy and debulking of this right middle cranial fossa lesion. Subsequent histopathology demonstrated features in keeping with metastatic prostatic adenocarcinoma. Brain metastasis from prostate cancer is a rare phenomenon, with an incidence ranging from 0.04% to 2% 1.
