Presentation
Right breast palpable mass on physical exam. Family history of breast cancer in first-degree relatives.
Patient Data
A hyperdense mass with an irregular and spiculated margin in the lower inner quadrant of the right breast that contains fine calcification foci and causes surrounding parenchymal distortion. (BI-RADS 5)
Foci of calcifications with a benign appearance are scattered in the right breast.
A small mass with a slightly lobulated margin is evident in the upper outer quadrant of the right breast, which is primarily consistent with the intramammary lymph node.
Case Discussion
An ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy was performed for the right breast mass, and histopathology evaluation confirmed invasive ductal carcinoma.
