mammography

A hyperdense mass with an irregular and spiculated margin is noted in the upper central part of the right breast causing surrounding parenchymal distortion and nipple retraction. Fine calcification foci are pointed out within. (BI-RADS 5)

Additionally, a few small areas with fine calcification foci scattered around the mass could suggest satellite lesions.

There is also an enlarged intramammary lymph node in the upper outer quadrant of the right breast.

Case Discussion

An ultrasound-guided core needle biopsy was performed for the right breast mass and histopathology evaluation confirmed invasive breast carcinoma of no special type.
