The mediastinal mass demonstrated on the plain film is confirmed at MRI as T2 hyperintense and T1 hypointense without contrast enhancement. It is a fluid-filled cyst, most in keeping with a bronchogenic cyst.
Case Discussion
Features here are of a bronchogenic cyst, a fluid-filled cystic mediastinal mass that causes deviation fo the NG tube posterolaterally.
