Presentation

Pain and swelling at the left ankle and calcaneus for one hour after falling down from 2 meters of height standing on his foot with no twisted ankle. Diffused swelling over both sides of the left ankle with tenderness over the ankle and calcaneus.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Comminuted fracture in the left calcaneus bone. 

Böhler angle about 5°

Case Discussion

Bohler's angle is -5 °, the normal should be between 20° to 40°.

Bohler angle: is the angle between two lines tangent to the calcaneus on the lateral radiograph. These lines are drawn tangent to the anterior and posterior aspects of the superior calcaneus.
