Presentation

Left-sided painless and pulsatile neck mass.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male
mri

The study demonstrated a T2 hyperintense solid mass with prominent flow voids, giving the "salt and pepper" sign typical of a paraganglioma

The mass splaying the external and internal carotid arteries sitting between them classic of the carotid body tumor

It was difficult to identify the main feeder but likely branches of the external carotid artery.
