Cavitary mesenteric lymph node syndrome

Multiple mesenteric cystic lymph nodes are noted up to 2 cm (measured in short axial dimension).
The spleen is markedly atrophic.
There are no visible pathologically thickened walls of the large and small bowels.
Case Discussion
These radiological features, including multiple cavitary mesenteric lymph nodes with an atrophic spleen, are consistent with cavitary mesenteric lymph node syndrome in celiac disease.
After a CT investigation, the patient was recommended for an endoscopic investigation, where celiac disease was confirmed by biopsy.
