Fluid is noted between the leaflets of the septum pellucidum that extends behind the anterior columns of the fornix reflecting a cavum vergae.

Routine non-contrast cranial CT of a patient with delayed mental milestones demonstrates the incidental finding of cavum septum pellucidum et vergae. No CT finding explains the patient symptoms.
