Presentation

Long standing headache, recent blurring of vision and memory disturbances.

Large fairly defined mixed density lobulated mass is seen located entirely within the lateral ventricle. It extends till encroaching upon and around both foramena of Munro. The mass as if attached across the septum pellucidium. The mass exhibits area of calcification and cystic region. It shows areas of fair enhancement in the post contrast series. The mass measures 6 x4.6x 5 cm. in its maximum three dimensions.Supratentorial ventricular dilatation is noticed. A tumor blush is frequently identified, with the mass supplied by choroidal vessels. A feeding arteries are seen.

Large heterogeneously enhancing mass in mid line almost filling the bodies of both lateral ventricles. The mass is compressing the 3rd ventricle leading to dilatation of both lateral ventricles. Superiorly, the mass is abutting the corpus callosum.

Immunohistochemical study and electron microscopy confirm the diagnosis of cerebral intraventricular neurocytoma.
